The Role of Education in Fostering Awareness of Waste Management and Recycling from an Early Age

Let's do Recycle! or abbreviated as YYADU! is an initiative that began in 2019 and has become an important agent of change in efforts to increase awareness and action regarding the management and recycling of plastic waste in Indonesia. YAYDU! is a real example of collaboration between parties, combining various interests from the private sector, government, community, media, to educational institutions. Not only promoting recycling activities, the YYADU! also provides comprehensive education regarding the importance of sustainable plastic waste management. This program seeks to create an environment that is clean, healthy and free from unmanaged plastic waste that has the potential to pollute the environment.

Together with The Tegal City Environment Agency, LDRP! Socialize the Collaboration Program "Tegal Towards Waste-free City"

Together with The Tegal City Environment Agency, LDRP! Socialize the Collaboration Program Tegal Towards Waste-free City Let's Do Recycling! Program, an advocacy program that aims to educate and help reduce plastic waste since 2019 is collaborating the Tegal City Government through the Environmental Agency to hold a socialization activity of the "Tegal Towards Waste-free City" Program on Tuesday, August 15 2023, at Khas Tegal Hotel. There are at least 27 sub-district representatives in Tegal City who attended the socialization of the "Tegal Towards Waste-free City" program. Through representatives from each sub-district who attended, LDRP! and the Environment Agency hope that this program will be followed by all levels of communities in Tegal City, not only from women in Family Welfare Development, but also the Youth Organizations, Village Community Empowerment Institutions, and university students.

Creating a Recycling Ecosystem Starting from Sorting and Managing Waste in Realizing a Circular Economy Public awareness to clean and sort their waste before it is transported to the processing site needs to be continuously improved. This is expected to complete the stages of recycling activities and reduce waste that ends up in landfills.
